⚫ Why Dunlop balls are the standard

The dots on a ball are not decoration but its character. Let us look at which ball suits your level.

The dot system

Squash balls are marked with dots — they set the bounce and speed. Double yellow is the slowest and most “professional”, needing a warmed-up court and confident technique. Single yellow is slightly livelier. Red and blue dots are noticeably faster with higher bounce, ideal for beginners, children and cold courts.

Why Dunlop

Dunlop is the official ball of the PSA world tournaments and a recognised benchmark: stable bounce from tube to tube, predictable behaviour, durability. That is why it is used both at club tournaments and at championships.

What to take

Beginner — a red or blue dot: the ball stays in play longer, rallies are livelier, progress is faster. Confident player — single yellow as a transition. Tournament level — double yellow. Do not start with double yellow: on a cold court it barely bounces and kills the enjoyment.
